The problem with these HID lights are not with the lights themselves. Its in the housing they are put into. Putting HID bulbs in a normal "reflector" headlight would definitely scatter light all over the place, this creates glare specially for oncoming traffic. Now, HID placed in a "projector" type headlight would focus the light and direct it properly where it needs to go. This is the safe and legal route.
Before "upgrading" to an HID be sure to check your headlights if they are equipped with projectors otherwise stick with the halogen.
Now then, whats the legal HID temperature here in Doha? I'm hearing its only 6000k maximum, but I do see a lot still with what I perceive to be 8000k or even 10000k HIDs can anyone confirm this?
