Congratulations to both of u for the new baby who is to arrive!
I had visited Al rafa polyclinic in jaidah during my delivery! Dnt rembr the doctors name guess it was sunita or sumthing! Private hospitals r expensive like alahli, if u have medical insurance its definitely a blessing!
Al rafa is a little on the affordable side.
No medical insurance covers you from the first day for pregnancy. I think the policy must b running or active for 3-6 months minimum. so u have to plan about the insurance even before planning for the baby! :)
If u visit any private hospital they look after your delivery period for 6-7 months and then refer to HAMAD! al ahli is independent and if you can afford, it will take care of pregnancy and delivery as well. But have heard (not sure) that in emergencies, complications they too refer to HAMAD! like i said have heard it not sure!
single visit with blood chk ups and all will anywhere cost you 500 - 1000 rials in Al ahli while HAMAD does almost for free!
If u have health card its better you goto health centres for chkup and later for delivery to HAMAD
HAMAD doesnt allow male visitors or hubby inside the room with your wife. You need a female to assist her during delivery for help or any assistance! Call hamad and ask for details.
Ayurvedic medicines can be brought! but NO glass bottles!!!transfer or pack all in plastic bottles and carry in cardboard box. KEEP THE BILL WITH YOU. they might ask to open the box and show the bill! Once it is shown they will repack it and u cn bring. I had brought medicines ayurvedic myself but not for post delivery care it was other medicines! This is what I experienced!
and for lady help you have to advertise or bring someone from your native for care!
Hope my answers have helped!
congratulations once again! wish u and ur wife a happy and healthy baby! :)
