They will use someone local on Doha for the arrival leg as you will need to go to their office with documents and paperwork etc including a letter of non objection written in Arabic from your employer for the customs clearance, they will tell you what you need at this end.
It is best to get a reputable company to pack and seal the box / container as there must be a manifest of every item being shipped.
There are many things you may class as strange which are not allowed such as Porn, movies / DVD's depicting war opiate type drugs unless they have a doctors prescription with them and of course the usual things like alcohol, pork products etc.
No batteries in equipment, no acid in lead acid batteries etc etc.
All this information should be given to you before booking the shipper but you may have to fight for the specific information from them unless you have booked & paid for it.
Shipping from the UK was around 6 weeks and at a cost of about £1800 GBP for a crate 2m tall x 2m wide and 1m deep approx.
