Let me say it this way....Anything that contains intoxicant is not allowed in islam..the same goes for alcohol

In todays world even the muslims i myself say and saw(especially in my state) drink alcohol .(Astagfurullah)..this is clear indication that these muslims are by name sake only muslims and not following islam what is told about alcohol...In india they are lucky that alcohol is allowed openly and hence no such law...in one such case a muslim friend he drank alcohol and then he came to me and realized his mistake and asked me what to do..he feels guilty for going against islam...so i told do istikara

But in gulf countries atleast there is a law that if a muslim drinks alcohol he gets lashes (because he has gone out of what islam told him)

In this case he teased a woman, drank...khallas...he got the punishment...he is lucky he is not in saudi..else RIP
