1. It is safe but definitely not as safe as Qatar or Dubai, crime rate is high over there. Tip: Be careful of the Indians over there as 90% of the street crimes are committed by them such as street mugging & kidnapping.

2. You can do anything you want as long as you are not harming any one.

3. If you are planning to live in an apartment then I suggest live near an LRT station since I believe you won't be buying a car for 5-6 months. Plus I doubt that anyone would rent their apartment to a foreigner for only 5-6 months. Usually they accept an year contract. If you are thinking about staying in a Hotel then Bukit Bintang would be a nice place to rent a hotel.

4. Sure you can, but keep public affection only inside a club or bar. Its a muslim country and they don't appreciate the touchy touchy.

5. Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya, Langkawi(since you are with your girlfriend)

6. As compare to Qatar & Dubai all is very cheap

7. Yes it is safe but only in Bukit Bintang area since there is police there like 24/7 other places it will be a big risk.

8. You can keep a big amount with you but problem is the highest note of money in malaysia is 100 so the more you put more bulgy your wallet will be.

9. Google Maps is your friend.
