I guess it is alright to talk about human rights and optimal human behaviour towards a maid. But look at it from knockknocks viewpoint. She is the sponsor and employer and totally responsible for her--I mean totally. She is worried that if that maid gets into trouble it would make her answerable.
All kinds of possible scenario's could be conjured up and every one of them are a bit scary for her. Could be she is humane in her treatment of her maid paying her well and looking after her like family as she says. But I guess she is spending sleepless nights over this. If that maid gets pregnant or something like that, or get caught with another man in HER house, or the maid elopes knockknock will get into serious trouble.
I think we need to look from her uncomfortable position instead of assuming abuse and ill treatment
