I had the maintenance workers come over and unscrew the hose from the BBQ with the hopes of somehow making the new green hose work with it.

They told me that the existing hose has been machined to the hex assembly and it wouldn't be safe to just cut it off and clamp it on.

Still hoping for someone who knows exactly how to convert this fool thing. . .if you know of anyone please let me know.
