"Some Christians do avoid the eating of pork because of the biblical laws mentioning this. The Seventh Day Adventist denomination is one which observes this practice. The majority of Christians believe that the laws do not apply to them and that this law, along with others, passed with the sacrifice of Christ.

The reason God instituted these laws for the Jews was because they did not have preservation methods or cooking methods that could make the meat safe. If you read in the New Testament you will see that nothing is considered unclean. Jesus made a reference to this as well as Paul in Romans, the incident with Peter in Acts as well. It is up the person what they want to eat."
