Snowyowl is correct, the school was declined on the basis of geographical location due to several environmental issues, not on religious discrimination or cultural deploy. Australia is an extremely accommodating society in which we have compromised our own traditions, culture, beliefs and religious celebrations, to the extent of some even being abolished (as mentioned in an earlier post), denying the younger and future generations the right to celebrate.
