one would never get it through as far as departure lounge. liquids can only be bought AFTER one has gone through customs and security.

To try bringing alcohol through security in a water bottle one would probably be arrested for carrying a potential bomb! (just need to soak a rag in the alcohol, stick it in the bottle neck and set fire to it then lob it wherever!)
