Regarding the time to complete the visa formalities, QP may take 1 to 3 months. This is normal for QP So, just don't get panic and just wait wait and wait. You are surely going to get a visa.

Daily commuting from Doha to Ras Lafan is not at all fun. Distance is 100kms approximately one way and the traffic is horrible. Living at AL-Khour can be a way to reduce time spent on traveling. But I don't know if any good Indian School is there.
