If someone seems too pushy or is harassing a lady she has the option of taking his license plate number and reporting him to the police or calling 999 if the situation looks like it's going to get out of hand.

Like other countries in the Gulf region you have a disproportionate number of single men who can go for years without being in the company of a woman. I'm surprised more of this doesn't happen.
Like everywhere else in the world practice the principles of safety first. Why would anyone, let alone a woman, want to walk anywhere over here, except on the Corniche?
I also think women shouldn't be afraid of yelling at someone in public or even walking up to a guy and slapping him in the face if he's being a pest.
