I used to take great care about my clothes being modest when I first arrived, but after almost 2 years here I could not care less about it. I do wear miniskirts and tank tops and little dresses whenever I want, although Suzanna is right and it is best to avoid these in the souqs and streets of Doha.
As for changes, this is what I feel most annoyed about:
Inshalla attitude
Traffic and crazy drivers
Expensive rents and cost of living
Heat and humidity -although you get lovely winters!
The feeling that you live in a construction site
Early Sunsets all year round -days are too short.
