Second meeting of Qatar-Saudi Follow-up Committee takes place

Following the signing of the historic Al-Ula Declaration earlier this year, Qatar and the former blockading nations have been making efforts to strengthen relations for the GCC's security, stability, and unity.
Saudi Arabia had taken the lead in opening its airspace, land, and sea borders with Qatar following which the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain opened their borders to the Gulf State.
As Qatar and Saudi Arabia work toward bolstering ties, the second meeting of the Qatari-Saudi Follow-up Committee kicked off at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar yesterday.

His Excellency the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs ambassador Ali bin Fahad Al Hajri chaired the meeting from Qatar's side, while from the Saudi side was led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political and Economic Affairs Eid al-Thaqafi.
The meetings of this committee follow from the agreement between the leaderships of the two countries as well as the Al-Ula Declaration. They are also a reflection of the fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries.
A few weeks back, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud had also visited Qatar to deliver a verbal message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The message underlined the deep fraternal relations between the two brotherly nations and ways of enhancing them.
