New hospital at Industrial Area starts receiving outpatients for the first time
The official opening of the Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital (HMGH) in the Industrial Area may still be a little time away, but it has now started receiving outpatients for the first time.
The hospital yesterday welcomed the first outpatients to its internal medicine clinics, reported Gulf Times.
Once fully operational, the new hospital, situated in the heart of the Industrial Area, will join the Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) network of specialist and community hospitals.
The HMGH is aimed at the predominantly adult male population living and working in the Industrial Area, said HMC in an official Press release.
The first-of-its-kind hospital in Qatar offers a range of outpatient clinics and clinical support services including inpatient care, surgical services, and emergency care. The hospital is set to be open in phases and is expected to become fully functional within a few months.
The HMGH is expected to relieve some pressure off other hospitals and clinics, particularly the emergency services at Hamad General Hospital and the Al Wakrah Hospital, reported The Peninsula.
“Late last year, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani officially opened HMC’s three new Medical City hospitals, significantly expanding our ability to care for patients. I’m extremely proud that we can now build upon this success as we start to see patients at Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital,” Hamad Al Khalifa, HMC’s Chief of Healthcare Facilities, was quoted as saying by The Peninsula.
“When fully open, HMGH will offer the same high standard of facilities, services, and care we have seen at all of Hamad’s hospitals. It will provide all adult males, from Qataris to expatriate laborers, with the best possible care right here within the heart of the Industrial Area community,” he added.
Good News,
Hopefully will success to reduce waiting period at emergency unit at Hamad hospital in Doha and alwakra .
