MOCI announces list of over 650 discounted consumer goods for Ramadan 2021

With the Holy Month of Ramadan fast approaching, Qatar will once again see an amazing sense of community spirit, reflected in several efforts made by the government and non-profit organizations.
Keeping up with its longstanding yearly initiative, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has released a list of 680 discounted consumer products specifically for the upcoming fasting month.
The reduction in prices is aimed at making it more convenient for the citizens and residents of Qatar to meet their consumer needs during Ramadan, in which spending on food items is noticeably high.

Launched in cooperation with major shopping centers and hypermarkets, the discounted prices will come into effect today (April 5, 23 Shaban, 1442 Hijri), and will remain unchanged until the end of the holy month.
The discounted prices apply to basic commodities, commonly used in Ramadan, comprising flour, sugar, rice, pasta, chicken, oil, milk and other food and non-food items that are consumed in greater quantities during the month.
Yesterday, Qatar Calendar House said that based on astronomical calculations the first day of Ramadan is expected to be on Tuesday, April 13.
