HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti and Turkish Minister of Transport, Marine Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan jointly announced the new initiative, which will have up to five million Turkish products on offer, reported The Peninsula.
The online platform will start to be available to the Qatari public starting January 1, 2018, according to Qatar Tribune.
At a press briefing on the sidelines of the International E-Commerce Conference in Turkey, Al Sulaiti emphasised the depth of Qatari-Turkish relations and cooperation in the fields of post, transport, ports and aviation.
The Turkish minister said a tripartite co-operation agreement will be signed soon in the field of transport between Turkey, Qatar and Iran, which would help accelerate commodity delivery and facilitate trade exchange between them.
Qatar’s ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi attended the Press conference along with Qatar Post Chairman and Managing Director Faleh Mohamed Al Naemi, and Turkey Post (PTT) Corporation Director-General Kenan Bozgeyik.
