Residents in Al Khor can rejoice as the city's first-ever cinema officially opened in Al Khor Mall on Tuesday afternoon.
Qatar Bahrain International Cinema (QBIC) announced the opening of the cinema in Al Khor Mall on Tuesday, which was followed by a screening of The Jungle Book.
QBIC has invested over QR12 million to create the cinemas in Al-Khor, with a total of three screens where viewers can enjoy latest technology in viewing experience.

Following its soft opening on March 24 with a worldwide premier of Batman Vs Superman, the cinema has become a popular entertainment hotspot in Al Khor.
“We will continue our expansion strategy in Qatar and will announce the opening of an additional 13 Screens very soon," QBIC’s Chief Operating Officer Khalil Amin said.
All the cinemas of Cineco 3 are equipped with silver screen for 2D and 3D movies with the latest technology of 4K digital projection systems.
Qatar has actively taken the initiative to improve living standards for residents in Al Khor. While streets in the city are receiving a major facelift, a World Cup stadium is also scheduled to be completed before 2022.
Being the first and the largest shopping mall outside Doha, Al-Khor Mall has been seeing a great number of visitors since the opening of its cinema screens.
I think I'll go to Al Khor Mall this friday and see if I can get in
Maybe they've downloaded the movies from a website. That's why the sound is bad?
been there, Cinema 2, i'll rate it an average cinema because small screen and awful sound system.
