Exciting activations to delight fans during FIFA Arab Cup™

With excitement building in Qatar and across the region for the FIFA Arab Cup™ kick-off on November 30, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy has announced a host of cultural activations set to redouble the joy of fans during the much-anticipated tournament.
An array of pre and post-match activations will take place around five tournament venues: Al Bayt, Ahmad Bin Ali, Al Janoub, Al Thumama and Stadium 974.
Fans can look forward to music, dance, folklore and other performances from communities representing Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Morocco, Sudan and others.
Cultural activations will be located in the last mile area and metro/bus stations near the stadiums, with a total of 200 performances in 60 locations to delight fans throughout the tournament.
Apart from the tournament venues, Doha Corniche will also provide fans a chance to engage in some fun activities, owed to a collaboration between the SC, Qatar Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Katara.
Numerous performances will take place on three mini stages along the Corniche at the Qatar International Food Festival, with performers coming from local communities that represent the participating teams in the tournament.
The activities on Doha Corniche will be open to the public on weekdays from 6 pm to 10 pm and on weekends from 5 pm to 12 am until Friday, December 3.
SC’s Stakeholder Relations Director, Khaled Al Suwaidi, commented, “The FIFA Arab Cup provides a wonderful opportunity for our diverse communities to be part of this important event, as Qatar prepares to host the world in a year’s time."
"These activations will enhance the atmosphere, as fans make their way to the stadiums for matches or to enjoy the sights of the Corniche in the daytime or evening," he added.
Qatar’s communities also have the opportunity to engage and interact with the tournament through the FIFA Arab Cup™ Trophy Experience.
The trophy is currently being exhibited at various community schools, centres and tourist attractions across the country. Fans can have their photo taken with the trophy at numerous venues.
The public is reminded about the Corniche Closure until December 4 and advised to use alternative routes or use public transportation. For the latest traffic updates, click here.
Tickets for the tournament can still be purchased here. All ticket holders must apply for a mandatory Hay’ya Card (Fan ID), here.
