Where do we stand on dash cams in Qatar? Some of the driving here is treacherous to say the least and having evidence of this could save a lot of time and money.

So as far as we know, there is nothing illegal about having a dash cam?
Dashcams are good to have for safety - in any case you might be questioned, good to mention that it is for that. It might be tricky because a lot of the places in Qatar may not be allowed to be filmed, but doing it from inside of your car is safe.
Dash cam is good for you ...... have one quickly ....... so many merits .........
