When driving in Qatar, whether as a taxi driver or a family car owner, being prepared for unexpected situations on the road is essential. Given the extreme heat in certain months, lengthy highways and ever-changing cityscapes, a well-equipped emergency kit can be a life saver! Here’s a rundown of must-have items to keep in your car to ensure safety and preparedness in any situation.
First Aid Kit
A basic first aid kit should be the first item in any emergency kit. Include essentials like bandages, and antiseptic tape. In Qatar, it is important to add supplies to treat heat burns-related issues, such as burn cream or electrolyte tablets, which are especially useful during the scorching summer months.
Jumper cables
Batteries can drain quickly in high heat, so a pair of jumper cables is crucial. Even if you aren’t in a remote location, a dead battery in the city can disrupt your day and those around you. Taxi drivers, especially can’t afford downtime, and jumper cables can help get you back on the road faster.
Fire extinguisher
