How to change the name from the PASSPORT?

Can someone give me an idea about how to change the name from the passport where RP has already been done???
I want to change the name of my baby..Her RP will get expire by next APRIL 2009..I want to keep some different name..Is it possible to change her name from the passport??I m an INDIAN but i think the procedure for this will be same for all countries..

Please let me know so that i cant start procedure if it is smooth and not time consuming..Or else, i may drop my plan..But just let me know if there r ny chances????

Go to your civil registry and apply for changing of your baby's name on all documents submitted to them (birth certificate, et.al.). Get a lawyer. A court hearing will then follow for the judge to approve the request for changing names. Go to foreign affairs and present the approval from judge and apply for new passport. Apply for a new RP for your baby. It will take minimum of 2 months, depending on availability of court, plus money to change all legal documents.
