Desert Falls Water & Adventure Park opens first man-made Canyoning Adventure in the Middle East
Qatar’s largest theme park; Desert Falls Water and Adventure Park has recently opened a new adventure to add to its list of thrilling attractions. This is the family canyoning adventure course.
The canyoning attraction at the Desert Falls is the first man-made canyoning structure within the Middle East and the third of its kind in the world.
Unique in its design; this is the only attraction of its kind in the region which boasts 17 pools, 10 Slides, 16 cliff jumps and two rappelling positions connected by steep staircases and tunnels giving it a maze-like appearance.
With cliff jumps as high as 7.5 meters and pools ranging from depths of 1.5 meters to 6 meters this attraction definitely causes an adrenaline rush similar to what you would experience out in the natural canyons.
The Canyoning experience at the Desert Falls is divided into two different sections- the family canyoning and extreme canyoning.
For the phased opening, the family canyoning is now open with 6 pools with cliff jumps and slides for thrill-seekers and adventurers looking for unlimited excitement and fun!
The extreme canyoning, which will open at a later time comprises 11 deep pools connected to cliff jumps, steep slides and two rappelling stations.

- What is Canyoning?
It’s an exhilarating adventure activity that involves cliff jumps and sliding into deep pools of approximately 3.4m
- How much is it?
QAR100 per person
- How long will it take?
Maximum 30 minutes per session (inclusive of a safety briefing of approximately 2minutes)
- How old does my child need to be?
We have a height requirement for children which is 120cm (1.2m) and above. All kids between 1.2m and 1.5m need to be accompanied by an adult
- What precautions are taken in terms of safety?
All participants are provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes life jackets, helmets, shoes and gloves
- Do I need to wear safety gear?
Yes, everyone participating in the course is required to wear the gear provided for your safety.
- How high am I jumping from?
The height ranges from 1m to 3m
- Why do I need to sign the waiver form (Adult)?
To acknowledge that you accept the rules and regulations laid out and that you are willing to participate in the course.
- Can I participate if I’m under 18yrs old?
All participants over 1.2 meters and under 1.5 meters tall must be accompanied by a responsible adult/chaperon. Everyone under 18 will be required to have a waiver form completed by an adult over 18 years of age.
- Can I take my phone to take pictures?
Go pro cameras with secure straps are allowed however mobile phones or any other loose items are not allowed.
- Where can I keep my things (Bag, mobile phone or loose items)?
We will provide lockers to keep your items safe. This is complimentary only for the canyoning course.
- Can I jump if I have a recent surgery, back problem or if I’m expectant?
People with health issues are highly discouraged to participate for their safety.
- When are the higher jumps opening?

- Can I accompany my friends or family to take photos or watch?
Only participants will be allowed in the course.
- What are the operating hours for this attraction?
Sunday to Thursdays: 11:00am-8:00pm.
Friday and Saturday: 11:00am-9:00pm.

For Canyoning adventure, call 44236416 to book. For bookings to the Sea Caves Water Park at the Desert Falls, reservations should be made online only here.
- Can I visit the Desert Falls Water and Adventure Park without a reservation?
No, reservations must be made before visiting.
