Free from buses? Why would you think that? It is literally nose to tail buses and vans from 5am onwards. This morning it was stop and go traffic outbound towards IKEA from Al Waab onwards. That was at 5:30 am. It doesn't get better after that time. And getting into Hamad Medical City after 6am - well good luck.

If you leave home at 6 AM, you should be fine. If you wait till 6:15, you'll be late. Traffic gets incrementally worse every minute you delay.

The time you leave work coincides with laborer shift change and the roads get very busy with buses as well as people like yourself leaving work, so expect heavy traffic. It'll be an exercise in patience management.
