Is there any service center worse than TOYOTA
Being very busy and being the largest vehicle dealers and also being the main player in the vehicles market doesn’t give them the right to give us this poooooor customer services. Since I purchased my Prado one year ago, I am facing difficulties every time I plan to go for service, not to mention it’s the most expensive service you can get in Doha. Finally, I had to deal with the industrial area main service center to fix a new pumper, which was a nightmare.
I will try to be constructive and mention professional criticism (I waited a whole week after my experience with them to be fair and not biased):
• The accidents reception is not clean nor organized at all,
• The supervisor never gives you full attention when talking to him or processing your documents as he is busy in answering the phone calls or talking to another 2 mates or customers,
• They are angry of the workload and advise customers not to buy Toyota again,
• They give promises which never met, swear to God that they will call you in 15 minutes and never do in 2 days even,
• All my documents and job card were lost (I knew that later) which led to one full week to fix a pumper (no other work needed),
• Payment day, I got 100 riyals discount, no comment
• I had to pay everything even before I checked my car’s status.
• The room I had to wait in until they bring you the car, is xxxx (can’t find the word to describe how horrible it’s).
• At the end they stole a perfume bottle and broke the plastic in the back door.
Customer is always a customer (won’t say always right) deserves attention, respect, smile, and clean place to complete his job in.
NOW I THINK TOYOTA WORKSHOPS ARE GOOD.BUT THE LABOUR CHARGES ARE HIGHER
You can only count by your fingers ,company giving a satifactory services here in Qatar ,even company required for a 3rd party qaulity inspection/certificates.
still services is poor, It is all about MONEY ,they don't wanted to spend money to have a good services ,expand thier workshop ,hire more technician,but instead they focused on thier sales to get more product and more income.
Thier should be a goverment agencies to look into it as it is a provison of thier business permits.
Better to always put a topics and suggestion here in QL to let this issues reach to proper authorities.
Prado is one of the best vehicle toyota made,,, go for it,,,, this car have no problem at all.
I don't know if any of you guys tried BMW.....for me I will burn my car than going there. Going to the industrial area will destroy the car it self, then going to khalifa branch is a whole different experience, you have one Lebanese mechanic that you tell him your car problems and he fix something else....WTF
our previous car is Honda,they have a good service team & facilities.Now our present SUV is Nissan,in fairness with them they have a good service team also & good facilities too.That should be also consider in buying a vehicle.Coz even before I heard a lot of bad comments about the service of Toyota.

Seems like everybody agrees Toyota service is the WORST. Was it all of its service centre was like this, or its only one in particular?

I have the same problem as you do! It's horrible.
They conducted a survey on how to improve their service I suggested to them to do what honda service does (call to set an appointment) they said that they can't coz there are lots of toyota vehicle in Qatar.
If honda and any other car service can do it why not Toyota.
I went to Teyseer for the same service they can do it quickly (in Toyota they will ask you to leave your car and call you whenever it is done)...
This service is only good for those who have 2 or more cars...
Say no more... It's very bad service...

There is no such service centers and I have to go to Toyota to maintain the warranty.
Believe if I find another way not to visit them again I difintly would run for it
My suggestion is that you check around for an "independant" service provider/repairer, one who specialises in Toyota (has Toyota acreditation, and endorsement), who can often beat the dealer service departments in many areas, ie time, cost, customer service, warranty, as they don't rely on the name of the vehicle bringing them repeat business, only their level of service, and customer care. Make sure their work is guaranteed and that they use "genuine" parts where possible, and that your Dealer Warranty is not compromised because of their work! Like a good doctor or a Dentist, people refer to their car mechanic as "My Mechanic" if they are given good service and are treated well, and not charged the "earth" for it.

You have to see Dodge service. It su.ks also. You are bringing your car and saying I have those problems they are taking notes and doing nothing but changing oil and such small things only. My friend has also Dodge and he said the door was making sound because of air coming through the seals they fixed it but the door was not closing properly when he got it back. The Air Conditioner was broken so he gave it for repairing. They changed the compressor for 2500 QAR. And guess what happened after just a week; it was broken again and they said we have to change the air compressor. We have to fill cooling gas. My friend was going crazy and shout them. Because they had recently changed the compressor and can you believe that they were asking money to fill cooling gas just after a week of previous maintenance :). The best surprise was when he went back to get his car after the second maintenance. He realized that they bumped his car from the back door and there was a moderate damage on the door. Now they promised to fix that with the next maintenance. You are leaving your car and they are hitting it. Now you can think which one is worse :)
I got no problem dealing with Mitsubishi.. but only in the main service center in industrial.
so far i found nissan is best
The Service of HONDA is very good.
The Reception, Service, Delivery --- Superb.
Small small problem will be there everywhere.

What you are saying is true, Toyota's service is from bad to worst, I think they can't cope with the number of customers buying and driving toyota, they need to expand their services double if not triple as more and more customers are buying toyota nowadays. I am also dring a toyota car but have opted to look for some service center.
