Planning to Purchase Jeep Wrangler 2007-8
By Johnny Bravo •
Hi,
I am new to qatar
I have a license from GCC & got it converted.
I have plans to buy a Used Jeep-Wrangler 2007-8 Model
My Budjet is around 50K QAR.
I would like to know whether there are any third party garages apart from the show room service to maintain the vehicle.
Are there any Good Mod Shops in Doha-Qatar?
How expensive are the spares for these models.
on an average how much it would cost approximately per month to maintain this vehicle.
Any suggestions in this regard will be highly appreciated.
I purchase from rockauto.com
I would never (!) buy spares from Al Mana! Here is an example: power window regulator. Al Mana price: QR 1,200. From rockauto, here in six days for QR 350.-
Thank u all fr the inputs
Wild turkey u mentioned spares r cheap online..
R they from us or Europe or middleeast?
Also
Could u guys pls lemme know
If there are any good garages n mod shops available in Doha-Qatar.
Since their arrival in the Middle East, Jeep has not been able to capture the market the way it should have. Possibly, it may be due the marketing policies of the agents of the vehicle here. A former colleague who owned one, told me that spares were available only with the agents and they really cost. One does not get to see too many of them around in Doha.
The Wrangler has a curb weight of 1,380 kg and a 190 horse-power 4 liter engine up to 2006. After that the engine is 3.8 l with more than 200 HP. Jeep has never been "under-powered". The highest speed allowed in Qatar is 120 km/h. Why would you want a Porsche or a Ferrari? Show off. Spare parts for Wrangler are cheap if you buy them online.
Jeeps are actually quite powerful if you consider the engine to weight ratio. They are rugged and great for off road .
What they lose in comfort , they make up for in solidity and fun
Also jeeps are under powered and slow as a turtle, there are garages though that work on then.
In this country you need a car with some speed and power especially on the hiway when you need to switch lanes, parts are expensive for all usa cars, look into the toyota fj.
