Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts and fans of the brand will able to see this exclusive model for the first time in Qatar at the NBK Automobiles pavilion of the exhibition.
Khaled Shaaban, General Manager of NBK Automobiles said: "We are proud to be able to present this top-of–the-line concept at the 2014 Qatar Motor Show. With its gorgeous appearance and self-assured style it embodies the design philosophy of Mercedes-Benz for the next generation – purity as an expression of modern luxury."
The new Concept S-Class Coupé is the embodiment of the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy.
The exterior is characterised by typical rear-wheel drive proportions, which are emphasised by the Mercedes characteristic dropping line.
The long bonnet, the cowering greenhouse, the wheel arches and the 21-inch wheels and make the S-Class Coupé a masterpiece of automotive refinement.
With a wheelbase of 2945 mm the coupé measures 5050 mm in length, 1958 mm in width and 1409 mm in height.
From the side, the vehicle is marked by the dropping lines deliberately simplified, the dome-shaped stretched roof line and the frameless doors.
An elegant chrome frame surrounds the glass areas uninterrupted by B-pillars, underscoring the typical Mercedes coupé look.
The front of the vehicle is marked by a diamond radiator grille with rectangular, chrome-plated elements.
It bears the central Mercedes star and one blade.
The diamond-look of the headlamps and the tail lamps underline the luxury of the show car.
A muscle above the rear axle generates a sense of dynamism even at a standstill.
Elegance and simplicity also characterise the interior, which is dominated by flowing lines.
The white instrument panel has a curved shape and seamlessly transitions into the doors in a wrap-around design that continues in the door panels.
The ventilation nozzles with a ceramics-like appearance have a futuristic design: fins that route the air stream surround an oblong hole.
The aluminium control elements have a functional and clean design, and contrast the organic shapes that surround them. On top of the free-form surface under a reduced hood are the 30.7-cm screens.
The colour scheme of the displays is bluish. A touch screen showing four world clocks is located on the centre console.
The central command unit on the centre console has a "black diamond" finish and looks like a shiny jewel.
The Concept S-Class Coupé is powered by a V8 Biturbo engine, producing 335 kW (455 hp) from a displacement of 4663 cc. The peak torque is 700 Nm.
The S-Class Coupé is equipped with the "Intelligent Drive" technology from Mercedes-Benz.
With two "camera eyes", the vehicle provides a 3D view of the area up to about 50 metres in its front, while "6DVision" can detect the position and movement of objects.
It monitors the surroundings ahead of the vehicle over a range of up to 500 metres.
These data are combined with the data from the radar and ultrasound sensors.
A multitude of assistance systems monitors the surrounding traffic for the driver.
Models gives out slaves vibe.
