make new insurance for old car

dear friends,
please help me. i bought a old car from one guy (arabic,who dont know to speak english) , i have got the new istimara and forgot to get insurance from him. now after one week,i called him and asked about insurance, he says, insurance is finished ,get new one. please advise me guys,what should i do now? how can i make new insurance without having any copies of old insurance??
@jones & mani , i asked from my office mandub guy about this and he says, insurance is still valid up to istimara ( 21/09/2015) and new insurance can be done when present istimara expire after 21/09/2015.
so ,my istimara card is included insurance and he said ,there is insurance agent name.
So , will it not be a problem to reapply new insurance guys????
@ahm and Jones. If you are using Metrash you just changed the ownername, insurance will be valid for that time.
When i bought a car, we changed the owner name through Metrash and just went to Maroor to get the new Istimara.
once the istimara was finished, after fahes i went to my insurance and renewed. So you can go to any insurance to renew it.
First how did you get New Istimara without Insurance papers? Same time you changed Ownership should be along with insurance, anyway go to Police with your Istimara and explain to them otherwise it's very risky driving car without insurance.
