Diversion on Umm Al Saneem Street

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced a new road diversion on Umm Al Seneem Street. The diversions will start on Sunday June 22nd, 2014 and last until the end of this year.

During this period, 150 m of the exiting two lanes double carriageways of Umm Al Seneem Street ahead of the roundabout known as Karwa Roundabout will be closed, including Ras Umm Heesh Street’s entrance and Umm Al Seneem Street’s exit.

A new U-Turn will be introduced on Umm Al Seneem Street ahead of the closure.Road users coming from Industrial Area Road and heading to Umm Al Seneem Street can take a right at Wadi Al Ghafa Street and then left at Rawdat Al Thakhira Street.

While road users coming from Umm Al Seneem Street and heading to Industrial Area Road can take a left at Rawdat Al Thakhira Street and then right at Wadi Al Ghafa (as per as the attached Map).

It is worth mentioning that the road diversion is to build the new connection road from Umm Al Seneem Street to the new Karwa Interchange with all the required utilities.

The new connection road is part of Al Muntazah Road Project, which falls under the Expressway Programme ‘Ashghal’ is implementing. It is noteworthy that Al Muntazah Road Project is expected to be competed in the fourth quarter of year 2016.Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the diversion.

The Authority also requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
