Mufti Shahid: Yes, the quota system is there but the reality of the ground is totally different. Even Indian companies hire on provincial basis. A company managed by Keralites hires just Keralites; the Hyderabiadis hire just Hyderabadis; the Tamils hire just Tamils whether they are from India or Sri Lanka. And then they form a group within the company and if anyone from another part of their country or another nationality joins, they make life very difficult for him.
