If he was not in uniform and just wrote on scrap paper, its probably one of the many fake cops here. In that case, nothing will happen. People try to act like cops when theyre just expats like you and me. But if it was a real cop and you really believe you did not cross any lights and there was no cameras, then you'd be silly to not go and fight the fine. You should not have to pay even the 3000. But all this only if you are absolutely sure you are not wrong. Im not saying you're lying but people do come here and give a different story to what actually happened. Dont pay, in the absence of proof or receipts, you can fight and win. But i still am willing to bet that there will be no fine at all, please post back after a week and let us know what happened.
