Generally speaking, a problem with this civilization is people do things blindly in the name of culture and traditions and don't realise their implications in today's world. This is no more a closed society.

Also, advising children on their actions requires parents to explain things as to why actions are deemed right or wrong. Just shouting at them they were wrong without explanation will not satisfy the inquisitive mind of the child.

At 5 he is just too tender and innocent to understand whats wrong or right in this regard.
