CTLOG is absolutely right in what he has stated. The cargo companies shipping items by sea freight need to make a Full Container Load (FCL) before they can ship. It would really take them some time to put together cargo from several sources such as you, for a FCL. Hence the delay. Also, if you received the items in bad shape, it could be due to the packing which may not have been sea-worthy. I suggest you ship your items next time by air cargo. It will reach its destination within two weeks and there will be less damages if the consignment is packed properly. For a small extra fee, you can also insure your cargo and lodge a claim if your cargo gets damaged or lost in transit.
