as someone who mostly watches from the sidelines, i'm of the humble opinion that a great concept like QL is well up to the task of surviving it's few negative influences. any new arrival in qatar makes QL one of their first stops in the quest to settle down. seasoned qatar residents know to use QL to get through their daily lives. I personally found the kind of rare car i wanted on QL, all my accommodations and many friends their jobs..not to mention wonderful and hilarious people like Fatima, Brit and others. So, as Brit put it so well, 'this too shall pass':-)
