Where was this at? The health center or emergency? Cos the few times I have turned up at the health center with my health card expired I was simply made to pay 100QR and had the card renewed then and there, and given the analysis and medication I required.
As for the emergency unit, then I did take my mom over there when she was here on a vacation (visit visa)and she received not only treatment but even a minor surgery all for free!
Strange then that this lady was turned away due to an expired health card! Certainly she should report it to the authorities as suggested by Angelo.
