i didn't say it's not good.. but you say you have about the same back home.. so why to change? Life is different here, and unless money is good why to sacrifice your family, your friends, especially since your wife doesn't know anyone here, and it will be quite difficult for her to communicate.. she is the first one who will start to complain.. there are not too many places to go.. she will be home all day, alone.. I would kill myself if I had to maintain such life.. This is my point.
You can survive on 23,500 QAR. You can rent little low-to-medium quality 2 br apartment for about 7000. You can have a car for about 1800-2000 a month. Utilities about 1,000. You will spend about 3000-3500 for basic household for two. 4000 goes back home. If you like bars, nightclubs, restaurants, etc. that will cost you quite a lot.. If you like good quality clothes, want to travel, etc. - all that is expensive here.. Qatar Airways is one of the most expensive airlines in the world. And they are pretty much monopoly here.. not much left.. and again, you will have to sacrifice your habitual lifestyle, and your wife will be crying.. unless she doesn't want to see anyone.. yes, she can learn english.. it's expensive, there is no public transportation, people do not walk on the streets..
bottom line, calculate what you are losing and what you are gainig..
people don't come here (for money reason), unless they make at least 1,5-2 times more than back home..
