By the term server computing I meant server farms..not 2 Unix and 3-4 windows servers. Im working in IT since long. No major application setup..(i repeat) no major application setup which has to deal with huge data never recommend windows as its application as well as database servers.
This doesnt mean that nobody is using windows as servers..but if your concern is server uptime (means you cannot afford any down time) windows servers are simply out of scope.
Then MCSE,MCP,MSDBA etc are in the market since long..of late MS had introduced new certifications like MCITP, MTA and many more.
By the way: the certifications stuffs are with any Unix brands or any IT products brand..you name it they have it..whether its HP,SOLARIS,AIX,RED HAT or what ever.
Guess you are an IT newbie.
Im sure in future you will learn more about server computing and you will change your mindset..you take my word.
