that both genders need each other, and that is why there were originally to sexes male and female, couldn't it have been one sex which re produce independently, well maybe yes, there some animals which we studied in biology class and we knew that they can be independent and reproduce independrntly as there is only one sex of these tiny animals or bacteria what ever.
