I understand what 2kool is saying. Obviously the salaries in Qatar are considerably more than they are in the UK but for anyone currently working in the UK and considering a move to Qatar, salary is just on facet that needs to be considered when moving to the Middle East. There are the other intangibles - e.g., leaving friends, family, social life, etc., etc. - that must be left behind when moving and these must be adequately compensated for when negotiating contract and salary. If it was a case of "I will earn more money if I go there" and that was the only consideration, you'd probably see a lot Brits looking to move. For a lot of people, you can't beat a bit of Blighty!
