Where I come from this is quite normal every now and then. and it is then looked into and fixed.However since SL is not bidding for FIFA its simply an internal issue. In Doha around the Mughalina area where I stay, in the past year the sewage water problem seems to have worsened. Many times my daughter and I have literally fled from by lanes around our home down which we take our evening strolls, due to the terrible stench and heavy flooding of water around!Some nights we cannot go out on our balcony due to the smell and again we stay on the 8th floor!Obviously we are not the only ones suffering and complaining time and again.In fact I'm surprised to see a thread on this issue only now..was expecting it a long time back! Fervently hope the authorities do the needful pronto, bid or no bid, or risk the spreading of serious diseases and other deplorable consequences, Audubillah!
