Had the Muslim lands in question today who are in midst of all this war & strife, stuck to the Quran and Sunnah would they have found themselves in all this fitn?Would they have faced such terrible situations had they not fallen into extremism and innovations? Allah says: "And whatever calamities befall you, it is because of what your own hands have earned.. " Surah Sh-Shu'araa, ayah 30. knowing this can we Muslims then blame others? And the Prophet, Peace be upon him said “Indeed, I leave two things with you with which you will never go astray: The Book of Allah and my sunnah.” and warned “Hold onto my sunnah and the paths of rightly guided successors after me. Hold on to it tightly and keep away from the innovations in matters (of religion) for every innovation is heretical and every heresy is error.” and "The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) gave us a sermon by which our hearts were filled with fear and tears came to our eyes. We said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is as though this is a farewell sermon, so counsel us." He (S) said: "I counsel you to fear Allah and to give absolute obedience even if a slave becomes your leader. Verily, he among you who lives (long) will see great controversy, so you must keep to my Sunnah and that to the rightly guided (in beliefs and actions) Caliphs after me; cling to them. Beware of newly invented matters, for every invented matter is an innovation and every innovation is going astray and every going astray is in the Hell-Fire." [Musnad Ahmad vol 4 page 126, Abu Dawud 4607, at Tirmidhee 2676, ibn Mahah 42, Saheeh al Jamee 2546]And in many hadhit the Prophet warned that calamities will befall the ummah when they choose to follow other than his path.
So with all this in mind who do we Muslims blame for all our disasters? Americans? Or our own who choose to deviate & fall into extremism,error and oppression in their rulings?
