Jacko Those days when sachin had the skipper Cap, we never had a balanced team we were just 11 when other teams were playing 14 and 17, we all know it, we were playing all the ODIs without the 5th bowler, a 6-1-4 was our only possible combination..reason being
1. we never had a good wicket keeper batsman
2. Hardly had good allrounders
3. India for past many decades had only one lead pacer and no supporting one to run in from the other end. when it was kapil the other end was weak with manoj prabhakar,chetan shrama..etc when srinath got in to his rythm after getting hammerd for years he had no partner to support, then comes sahir khan now he has the other end a bunch of them getting rotated.
It was not the captaincy issue alone, it was the team which failed him as capain.
