FU again, i too grew up seeing violent films, gun fights etc but i dont believe a person doesnt know right from wrong at the age of 11 even. What was he thinking when shooting his step mom in the back of her head while she was sleeping then going to school like nothing happened? Agreed this kid has a mental condition, agreed that the environment around him COULD have played a important part in his decision to pick up the gun and shoot. So then he must be punished too right? Thats what the whole discussion here is about. Where do you find sympathy in what he has done?
