If you heard one filipina calling a Qatari or a non filipino as "Habibi", dont come the next day and post this thread, because this man might be her bf visiting her at her workplace, or her friend..whatever...Is the problem is that she did not smile to you and tell you habibi also?:)

Most Arabs call thier friends "habibi" sometimes and even strangers when they dont know thier names. Same things with non Arabs, they still can call strangers as "habibi". It depends on the situation itself and not the "word"
