Can't be bothered to argue against you bleu. The whole IT industry is wrong and you are right.
Linux does some jobs really well. But it is never going to replace windows on the desktop/laptop. The netbook saga proved that. Manufactures put Linux on their netbooks and everyone hated it. So they are moving away from it again. And yes I know Chrome OS is built on Linux, but we have yet to see how that shapes up.
When Linux first arrived in force I was over the moon. I had been trained on Zenix (Microsoft's flavour of Unix) back in 1985 and couldn't wait for Windows to get a bloody nose. However no mater how hard I tried, I still ended up going back to windows for desktop apps. You are a Linux enthusiast or should I say Hacker. Most people don't want to be enthusiasts of an operating system. They just want to do their job.
But I know I have just wasted a load of keystrokes on you, because you will not listen.
