I think Khalid is merely saying that the Filipina should never call somebody Habibi since this may imply a bad connotation to a mere acquiantance ( since Habibi means my sweetheart).. so, call him Habibi only if he is your boyfriend...
But what made the conflict is that he said Filipinas are the same, which is of course, I OBJECT 100% since I am not Ms. Congeniality.. and I don't call an acquaintance (arab nationality),"Habibi", I simply nod and smile as a sign of respect. KALAS! :) No need for further conversations especially if there is no need to have one.. :)
