OS, we have to accept that we really don't respect ratings, even for arabic movies that you saying it's full of love and feelings, most of them (not to generalize) are not appropriate for children under 16 because of themes of sexual suggestions and sexual words that , in western community would make the movie rating goes to pg 13 or more, while here, nobody cares (Tamer Hosni latest movie for instance, the cinema was full of families with their children boys and girls, was full of sexual suggestions from minute 1, in the name of Comedy!!!!!)and so many more (all Khaled Yousof movies....etc)
Movie makers in the west study their market based on the ratings, and many movies have lost huge number of audience because of it, which means huge amount of money; therefore, we must imply the rating in our community and must impose it by law, if we really respect our children and want the best for them, and if the movie makers in Arab world and the cinemas owners respect us and our families, so I believe that WE also are greedy people and just looking to fill in our pockets with unethical ways whatsoever.
We need to start taking our children psychological safety more serious.
