I've only been in Doha for a week, and desperately needed a drink last night. So I went over to the Ramada (yes with my passport), where I had stayed earlier in the week. I was surprised to find I couldn't get into Qube nightclub, as I wasn't a member, and wasn't with a member. Apparently, if I was staying at the hotel (as I had been 4 nights earlier), I could have gone in as a guest.
But I can't apply for a membership, as I'm here on a business Visa and don't have (and won't be applying for) residency.
I was wondering if I would have this trouble at all nightclubs in Doha? From what I've read, it seems that I will.
