This is typical of FQ's professionalism. I'm an FQ customer and have not received notification of these fees by phone, fax, email or letter. What professional organisation attempts to justify these fees in a public forum, but will not send an official letter out to the home owners advising them of these fees, the cost of these fees and what they are doing about it. They speak of transperancy and customer service, but where is it.
You be the judge.
Our apartments are already 9 months late and when handed over on November 1, 2009 will be a year late. This is less than 3mths away and we have not received an official notice of these fees from them yet. Only this forum notice and these fees exposed on another Qatar Living forum. Is this what they call transperant and good customer service?
Who in this forum thinks it is professional to receive a bill for QR129,000 or more with no notice when the amount we were told on signing with First Qatar was not more than QR50,000 for the same service? How many people would struggle to come up with the additional QR80,000 in under 3 months? When did First Qatar plan to pass this information onto their customers as Qatar Cool say they have known about these fees for a while? How long have they known about it and not passed this information on? What other hidden costs are there? How many other customers were told QR50,000 maximum for fees when they bought their units and are now facing a 250% increase? I know of several. You will notice there are no costs on the original forum post, just legalese and mission and vision statements.
I would also like First Qatar to publically admit that they are not about to pass on capital cost connection fees to the building for electricity, water, sewage, telephone, IT, cable TV, etc. Your Qatar office is saying that these fees will be passed onto the unit owners – not for their unit, but for connection to the building as a whole and then you still have to pay connection fees to the service provider to your unit. For a transparent company, please call them or email them and ask for a full disclosure of fees. They will tell you they are not allowed to tell you by phone or email you need to come in. Is this transparency?
Showing their true colours they have said that it is not their fault it is Qatar Cool’s, Qatar Cool have publically said the developers knew all along about these fees. FQ have also said they will help the customers deal with Qatar Cool about these fees, but Qatar Cool said publically that they will only deal with developers as they are not dealing with home owners until the units are handed over. QC were very clear - they are dealing with the developers not the individual home owners. Who’s not telling the truth? Why are FQ trying to pass on the blame and the issue onto your customers when QC have already said publically they are dealing with the developers? Why is FQ not prepared to take responsibility for their own project?
Is this how a professional, transparent and customer focused company behaves?
They say they are the fastest and most reliable developer and in reality their project is already 12 months late. Just about sums it up really.
