Poverty is not a punishment for sins. If so, then pity are the innocent children who were born with poor parents. If you were born rich, you are lucky to have rich parents.

Some people became poor because of other people's action.
Some also became poor beacuse of their own action. But it is not a punishment of their sins, rather, it is the consequence of their wrong doings.
